The Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan received a second modern medium-range L-410 (NG) turboprop aircraft at Atyrau International Airport, funded by the Industrial Development Fund JSC. The official handover ceremony was attended by Minister for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov and Atyrau Region Akim Serik Shapkenov. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, this high-tech aircraft will conduct interregional flights and perform rescue operations. The first aircraft of this type was delivered to the Ministry in March of this year, also with support from the Fund.
The multi-purpose aircraft is equipped with medical modules, including six standard stretchers, four specialized "Biohazard" infection stretchers, and 19 passenger seats.
The aircraft has a range of up to 2,100 kilometers, with a maximum cruising speed exceeding 400 km/h.
A key advantage is its ability to land on unprepared airstrips and operate in extreme temperatures ranging from –50°C to +50°C. This makes it an invaluable asset in regions with challenging terrain and harsh climates.
By the end of 2025, two more aircraft of the same type will be delivered to the Ministry for Emergency Situations, also funded by the Industrial Development Fund JSC.
Experience has shown that aviation assets are critical for swift deployment to emergency sites, where immediate response is crucial, and every minute counts.
